How to enter the BPP flower and produce show 2022

  1. Complete the online form to let us know what you plan to enter (don’t worry if this changes nearer the time – you can adjust your entry at face-to-face registration on the day, but the information in advance is really useful to help us plan out the exhibition space).

  2. Keep an eye on your emails in the two weeks running up to the show, in case we have to let you know of any last minute changes or information on how to bring your exhibit to the show.

  3. On Saturday 30 July, bring your exhibit(s) to the Education Room (on the Homestead Courtyard, next to the public toilets) between 12pm and 3pm. You will need to bring £1 entry fee per entry (in cash if possible). We will check that your entry hasn’t changed from what was entered on the form and collect your entry money. At this point, if you have decided to enter any additional categories or to remove an entry (e.g. if your roses didn’t smell this year!), we will have volunteers on the registration desk to help you with that.

  4. You will set up your exhibit yourself on a table in the Education Room. The tables will have the categories laid out on them and a volunteer will be on hand to help you find the right location to set up. Your entry/entries need to be ready to be judged by 3pm. (Judging takes place between 3-5pm on Saturday 30 July). There is water available in the Homestead Courtyard from an outside tap.

  5. When travelling to the park to drop off your exhibit, please bear in mind that parking in the park is limited and paid for (via app or phone, no cash payments – more info on how to pay here). We encourage sustainable travel to the park, but understand that this may be tricky if bringing a delicate or heavy entry! So you may wish to ask a friend or family member to drop you off, rather than driving yourself, then you can travel home on public transport or walking once you have set up your exhibit. You can find information about travelling to the park here.

  6. The exhibition room will be locked overnight once judging finishes, until the start of the public exhibition on Sunday 31 July.

  7. We will add a list of winners to this post by 10am on Sunday - check back to see whether one of your entries has been placed by the judges.

  8. Flower show prize giving will take place at 1:30-2:30pm behind the Mansion house on Sunday 31 July. We encourage you to attend to collect your prize if you have won, and to support others if you haven’t been selected as a winner this year.

  9. On the event day, Sunday 31st July, the show of the exhibits will be open to the public from 12-7pm and there will be a steward on the door throughout. The winning exhibits will have been marked up by the judges so that you and members of the public can see which entries were winners, highly commended etc.
