VOLUNTEERING
Beckenham Place Park Community Gardeners:
Our dedicated group of volunteers undertake various activities ranging from gardening to woodland management; from upcycling old pallets to helping at events in the park.
Sessions take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays each week for 2-3 hours under the supervision of the park staff.
We offer a range of tasks at each session so that volunteers can choose those that suit and develop their skills and knowledge. Weekday volunteering sessions are suitable for over 18s.
Each month we run a weekend session which children under 16 may attend when accompanied by a responsible adult. It usually takes place on the last Saturday of the month, 10:30am-1:30pm.
Most volunteering sessions begin and end at Gardener’s Cottage, our dedicated Volunteers’ Hub. Sessions are friendly and welcoming, new volunteers will be mentored by an experienced volunteer.
You must contact us and register before attending a volunteering session as places are limited.
There are currently no vacancies on the weekday sessions and we are operating a waiting list.
Please contact bppgardeners@gmail.com in the first instance to find out more.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Corporate Volunteering oportunities:
We have some availability for corporate volunteering sessions at the park, there is a charge for this depending on the size of the group. Please enquire directly to James, Lead Ranger on james.allen@lewisham.gov.uk
