New car parking tariff system

As part of its Climate Emergency action plan, Lewisham Council has rolled out a new emissions based tariff across the borough for all paid parking. This new system operates as cashless and the pay machines have been removed.

New tariff

The prices are based on the CO2 emissions of each vehicle. This information can be found on the vehicle’s registration documents. When making a payment the system carries out emission checks against the vehicle registration and will advise the customer of the price for their vehicle’s parking. This will be the same rate across the borough. Less polluting cars pay a lower tariff

How to pay

Visit paybyphone.co.uk or download the app on the apple and google stores

Alternatively, call 0800 546 0610.

The location code is:

Cars            803754

Motorcycles  807000

Cashless

The whole of Lewisham is now cashless with emissions based changes. If you’re not registered yet, we recommend doing so whilst planning your journey. Once drivers register with the pay by phone provider, it will be a simple process to purchase parking time anywhere in Lewisham operated short-stay parking, including in Beckenham Place Park.
