Young Darwin Scholarship is back for its 10th year
The Field Studies Council (FSC) launches the Young Darwin Scholarship 2022, the 10th year of this initiative for young people.
The Field Studies Council run the Young Darwin Scholarship 2022 across sites in London, making it accessible to as many people as possible.
“We want to create a world where everyone feels connected to the environment so they can enjoy the benefits it gives and make choices that help protect it. Through our Young Darwin Scholarship, we help get young people outdoors and past some of the barriers they may face.”
This is a unique opportunity for 16–25 year olds to apply for a 90% subsidised, Darwin inspired scholarship, combining environmental education and ongoing support. Successful applicants will take part in an immersive 5-day residential trip (or a series of days) that incorporates biological recording, improving identification skills, practical fieldwork, survey techniques, networking and confidence building. The scholarship is funded through grants and donations and cost for young people to attend is £45-£90.
Applications are open until the 5th of June 2022. Find out more on the Field Studies Council website or download the Young Darwin Scholarship Pack here
