New dog grooming service

Eddie’s Dog Shop is introducing a new service in their grooming salon. These are Welfare Grooms for customers on benefits, who reside in the boroughs of Lewisham and Bromley. Eddie’s share further details below…

What Is A Welfare Groom?   

Welfare Groom - 1.5 hours Max: Our Welfare grooms are about the health and welfare of your dog, if your dog has skin issues or severe matting we can help.

They include a bath with medicated shampoo, blow dry, haircut and brushing, and may also include nails, ears and a teeth clean. The length of the cut will be decided by the groomer to keep the dogs skin & coat healthy and free from matting.

NOTE: This service Does NOT include coat styling or shaping

 

Initial Health Check Assessment

Required on first visit, to assess the health of the dog, specific needs and dog reaction. Upon assessment, the cost of the welfare groom will be given to the customer. The Groomer will discuss how often the dog should be groomed.

 If you are receiving any of the benefits listed below and live within the Lewisham or Bromley Boroughs, you are entitled to a welfare groom which is a reduced-cost service. Proof of benefits (dated within the last 3 months) will be required. Service available maximum once every 8 weeks.

 

How to book

This service is open exclusively to residents of Lewisham and Bromley who are in receipt of one of these benefits:

  • Child tax and working tax credits

  • Universal credit without housing element

  • Pension credit

  • Income support

  • Job seekers allowance

  • ESA – (Income Based Only) Employment Support Allowance

  • Disability Living Allowance (DLA) / Personal Independence Payment (PIP) / Adult Disability Payment (ADP)

  • State retired pensioners who are householders living in council tax bands a – d
