Join Thames21 in your Ravensbourne River

Thank you to our volunteers who work hard every month to improve the health of the Ravensbourne River. From removing litter and unwanted items like dumped bicycles and trollies to identifying and removing the invasive non-native plant Himalayan Balsam from the riverbanks. A potential Antiques Roadshow treasure was also found by one of our regular volunteers!

Environmental charity, Thames21, is leading a programme of regular volunteering sessions and events that will give you the opportunity to get to know your Ravensbourne River and support the major works in the park and river improvements, with the aim to create a healthier river environment for people and wildlife.

The volunteer sessions run every first Tuesday of the month and every third Sunday and everyone is welcome including local organisations and groups. Visit Thames21 Beckenham Place Park website to read more about the project. If you’d like to join a volunteer session or have any questions, please email Catriona, Beckenham Place Park Engagement Officer, at bppriver@thames21.org.uk.
