Drop by this Sunday 28th January between 11am-2pm and meet the team from Thames21, Beckenham Place Park and the Environment Agency. Learn about the health of our Ravensbourne River in Beckenham Place Park and see for yourselves what is living in it. Find out how you can get involved in helping look after your river with other locals by becoming a member of our River Action Group.
Sunday’s meeting point: Ravensbourne River, Downham Gate, The Common, Beckenham Place Park, Old Bromley Road, BR1 4JZ. You’ll find the team near to the pedestrian bridge across the river from the skate park, BMX track and play park near the Downham Gate.

Environmental charity, Thames21, is leading a programme of regular events and training that gives locals the opportunity to get to know the Ravensbourne River and support the major works in the park and river improvements.
There are a variety of family friendly volunteering sessions available to join, including two monthly river conservation sessions, and as part of the project are offering 30 local residents free NCFE accredited training on Thames21 Leading Action for Healthy Rivers course.
