Our partners in Beckenham Place Park offer a range of activities and camps during the holidays for school-aged children, ranging from nature to water sports-based camps. They share below what’s on offer this summer
Discovery days by Field Studies Council
Our expert learning team run a range of exciting nature-inspired activities for families. You could be pond dipping, helping your children discover an underwater world, sweep netting in our meadow or bug hunting at our minibeast hotel. Each session is themed around nature and wildlife that we can discover and learn more about. With nature-inspired activities that will have you outside enjoying the fresh air. The activities are suitable for the whole family to enjoy, allowing you and your children to connect with nature together (and giving you the chance to find your inner child!). Please book your place in advance to help plan and safely staff the sessions.

Activities will include using a compass to navigate, bushcraft skills including shelter building and fire lighting, a conservation task, mammal trapping and discovering the plants and animals that live here.

Water sports holiday activity club delivered in the lake by PTP Coaching
For 7-16 years old
Through the holidays we run a popular Activity club for young people between the ages of 7-16. This is a fantastic opportunity to have a go on a paddleboard (SUP), learn some techniques and make some new friends, all whilst having fun. This is run by one of our qualified instructors and lasts for two hours.
We will provide buoyancy aids and any other safety equipment we deem necessary for the activity. We ask that all participants dress in light clothing appropriate for the weather. In the colder holiday seasons, Warm hats and Gloves are useful to keep the warm in. on windy days waterproof trousers can be useful to help keep you warmer underneath. In the colder months, we recommend shoes you do not mind getting wet are worn. through the summer, it is fine to be barefoot. . At present we do not have any changing facilities so we ask you to come dressed ready for your session, prepared to change under a parachute roof or on the bank when the activity has finished.
