Gardener Apprentice vacancy
This is an exciting opportunity for a gardener apprentice to be part of Beckenham Place Park’s team
The Gardener will be part of the dedicated park staff at Beckenham Place Park. It’s a varied and interesting role with the opportunity to develop and apply skills and experience across a range of activities including grassland management, maintenance of formal gardens, woodland management and management of wetlands, reedbeds, and the river channel and supporting volunteering in such as tree and bulb planting, river and wetland management and conservation.
The Council is about to commence new landscaping of the east side of the park which will provide wildlife-rich nature ponds, river restoration, lowland meadows with space to accommodate stormwater to reduce flood risk, so enriching the park’s ecology and increasing biodiversity and climate resilience.
To be eligible for a position on the apprenticeship scheme applicants must be Lewisham borough residents and over the age of 16 (there is no upper age limit).
