Southern Main Cross Country Championships

  • Beckenham Place Park Beckenham Hill Road BR3 1SY UK (map)

The SEAA (South England Athletics Association) will be holding the Southern Cross Country Championships in Beckenham Place Park on 28th January 2023. This is a major fixture on the athletic calendar and is generally attended by thousands of athletes from all over the South of England from Cornwall to Norfolk. We would love to see the local community support this event, so why not come along and perhaps catch a glimpse of an Olympian or two? You can also volunteer and be part of this historic event that has been running since the 19th Century.

Key information about the day for local residents and visitors

This is an SEAA event for preregistered athletes using various areas of the park between 9am and 4pm. The races start at 11am.

The start and finish are by Beckenham Beckenham Park Road gate. The course includes a section in the woodland area.

There will be no areas closed to the public and you’re welcome as a spectator or supporter. Please be aware of runners on the day and keep dogs on lead near the course.

Please note there be the sound of a horn at the start of each race, between 11am and 2.50pm.

Participants and supporters

Please use the Beckenham Hill road entrances for access to the Park and refer to the instructions sent by the organisers and refrain from driving to the venue as there is no parking for the event’s participants and very limited parking space in the vicinity.
