Following the success of the 2021 #HumansofBPP photography competition, we are running a similar competition in 2022 to celebrate the diverse mixture of people who use the park.
We invite you to submit photos of people that have been taken in Beckenham Place Park during 2022. This year, instead of dividing the competition into seasonal categories, there are themes that run through the whole year. The themes and their hashtags are:
individual park users #humansofBPP2022individual
groups of park users #humansofBPP2022group
organised events (including sports) #humansofBPP2022events
play #humansofBPP2022play
child photographer (photo taken by an under 18) #humansofBPP2022child
How to enter
Post a photo you have taken in Beckenham Place Park in 2022 to Instagram and tag it with the relevant theme’s hashtag.
Follow @beckenhamplacepark on Instagram to keep up to date with the competition throughout the year.
We look forward to seeing your images of dog walkers, runners, walkers, swimmers, explorers, nature watchers, walkers, children playing, artists, volunteers, park staff, and more!
Winning entries
A winner and 4 runners up will be chosen from each theme.
the winners and runners up will have their photographs displayed in a wonderful community exhibition in the park in early 2023. This exhibition will showcase the chosen images which symbolise Humans of Beckenham Place Park 2022.
Competition terms
All entries must be uploaded to Instagram with the relevant hashtag by midnight on 1 December 2022.
Winners and runners up will be contacted via the Instagram account from which the photo was posted and results will be announced publicly in early January 2023.
Entrants should keep a high resolution version of the photo they have entered as they will be asked to supply it if they are chosen as a winner or runner up.
Judges’ decisions are final.
Individuals may submit as many photos as they wish, but only one image will be considered per person at judging. Images must have been taken in 2022 in Beckenham Place Park and contain at least one person in the photo.
Photos entering the child photographer category must have been taken by someone aged under 18 at the time the photo was taken, but can be uploaded to Instagram via a responsible adult’s account.
